We’ve all seen the “Life Alert” commercials. “Help, I’ve fallen and I can’t get up,” is a part of our collective experience. We’ve also been in a place where we’ve fallen and can’t do anything on our own to get up. Listen and hear how God pours life into us even if we feel like dead, dry bones.

A Shunammite woman had lost her son whom the Lord had given her. She was grieved and broken but went to the prophet saying “Everything is alright” because she put her faith in God. Paul talks about a group of people who were in the church but spent their time spying on what he was doing in order to get attention for themselves. In churches today we have people who are focused on their own interests, who look to see what everyone is doing and use this information or gossip and control. Listen and learn how Paul dealt with the spies of his day and how we can do the same today.

Once pastor got a beat up old car with the dream of restoring it. He spent hours and hours working on this vehicle. He would beat on dents and scrape off loose paint and rust but he wasn’t an experienced car restorer. The more time he worked on it the worse it looked. Often our lives are like that. We try and try to fix what we’ve done wrong but make it worse and worse. Listen and learn how we can let the Expert restore us.
